Troika is asking Greece to accelerate the privatizations

The collection target of 1.3 billion euros in revenue for this year stays the same

The object of the meeting between FinMin Yannis Stournaras with the Troika chiefs and HRADF president Emiris was the bureaucratic and institutional barriers that block privatizations.

The Greek government and Troika want the acceleration of privatizations and as a Finance ministry member said, "the debate evolved around institutional issues and how the State will facilitate the privatizations."

He added that the unfavorably revised target revenue of 1.3 billion euros from privatizations this year and about 3.5 billion for 2014 did not change.

After the meeting Stournaras went to Maximos Mansion. Although a new appointment has not been arranged, the meetings of the Greek economic team with the Troika chiefs will continue, possibly throughout the weekend, as many issues are still open, such as the restructuring of EAS (Defence Systems, for the disbursement of the 1 billion euro tranche), the VAT on catering, property auctions, etc.
