The lowest rate in the EU, further reduction compared to October (-1.9%)
Greece showed a -2.9% deflation in November, the lowest rate in the EU with a further reduction compared to October (-1.9%), according to Eurostat figures released today in Brussels.
In the Eurozone inflation rose to 0.9% in November from 0.7% in May, while a year ago it stood at 2.2%.
In the EU inflation rose to 1% from 0.9% in the same period, while a year ago it was 2.4%.
After Greece, the lowest rate in the EU was recorded in Bulgaria (-1%) and Cyprus (-0.8%), while the highest rates were observed in Estonia with 2.1%, Finland 1.8% and Germany 1.6%.
Compared with May, inflation dropped in 11 Member States, remained stable in 3 and increased in 13. There is no information for Great Britain.
