Message of death from Christodoulos Xiros

"I took the decision to fire again the guerrilla rifle," he writes - Video where he calls to a "clash and overthrow,” asks his fellow fighters to unite and threatens MPs, politicians, journalists, trade unionists, police officers and collectors - He talks about his escape - The reaction by the ministers of Public Order and Justice

With threats and an electronic revolutionary letter through an accompanying video, runaway Christodoulos Xiros reappeared saying that "I will fire the guerrilla rifle once again."

The letter signed by Xiros was posted in antiauthoritarian website. Its authenticity is proven by a 3'52'' video in which Xiros with a background of four photos of Che Guevara, Georgios Karaiskakis, Theodoros Kolokotronis and Aris Velouchiotis calls for a "clash and overthrow.”

He also calls for his "comrades, free and captured" to unite, saying that "it is the hour of battle, we have no time to lose, we will go to the people." Christodoulos Xiros unleashes threats against MPs, politicians, trade unionists, police, journalists, and collectors.

He signs as “Christodoulos Xiros: Free member of 17 November" and launches an attack on the media saying "your democracy is dead.”

The convicted member of the 17 November refers to his choice to escape taking advantage of the leave he received saying "the fact that I managed to convince my captors to grant me permission is a personal success and I will answer to them with Tzavelas’ phrase when he persuaded Ali Pasha to release him: "I am glad I fooled a guileful man"."

Xiros clarifies that he escaped because he took the decision to "fire again the guerrilla rifle against those who steal our lives and sold our dreams to make a profit. We want rights and will get them with a gun in our hand. We ask no favors from anyone and especially from you who have kneeled. And if we do not meet again, which I hope not (nor should) you better kill me because if you put me to prison again I will escape again to fight you to the bitter end."

The letter is accompanied by a photo of Christodoulos Xiros and a video dated January 14, 2014.

Nikos Dendias: No comment on Xiros’ thoughts

"I have no reason to comment on the thoughts of some terrorist, especially Christodoulos Xiros. The only thing I can do is assure the Greek society that authorities conscientiously act their duty to lead to prison those that belong there," Public Order Minister Dendias said about Xiros’ appearance via a letter.

Justice Minister Charalambos Athanassiou said: "These statements by terrorists receive a response from Justice under the Constitution. But the Greek state must shield citizens from those who conspire against them. This is why the creation of a maximum-security detention facility is necessary for the enemies of Democracy."

SYRIZA: Christodoulos Xiros does not believe in Democracy

Christodoulos Xiros is the person who can have a view for Democracy as he does not believe in it, SYRIZA said in its announcement.

SYRIZA calls Christodoulos Xiros a self-entitled defender of popular interests and says the effect of such punishment regardless of mass struggles, has been shown to result in greater repression, intimidation of society and the reproduction of a vicious circle of violence exploited by the incumbent powers to hit the people’s movement, rights and freedoms.

Bakoyannis Family: Ch. Xiros is a serial killer

"Christodoulos Xiros is a ruthless, brutal, serial killer, who insists on exploiting the moral superiority of Democracy. He will take his place in prison where he belongs."
