Koufodinas against Xiros: "17 November ended in 2002"

Nobody has the right to declare himself as a continuer of the organization - Heavy hints for Xiros and Giotopoulos - "The new guerrilla warfare is different from us. It will be judged by society"

In an article at the "Efimerida ton Syntakton" today Dimitris Koufodinas sends a message to anyone who consider themselves as successor of 17 November. With a simple categorical statement he clarified that the 17N has been terminated and no one has the right to use its name and history, much more declare being its continuer.

Below is Dimitris Koufodinas’ entire statement, who in a few months will publish a book on the history of 17N.

"As I have said again, the historical circle of 17 November has closed. I've said this from 2002 when I defended the honor of the organization and its revolutionary values that were trivialized by the confessions and were injured by a silence vacuum. 17 November has closed its circle. But in recent years in our country under the diverse resistance movement, another guerrilla warfare is developing. Of a new type, more metropolitan, with different characteristics than ours, which will inevitably have to take into account our own experience, as tested in its historical path. Each personal choice in this new guerrilla is judged and will be judged by that which has always been the real beneficiary of our words, the struggling society. And the movement in time will have to evaluate its different facets and measure its dynamics, outcomes and impact."
