NIS, CIA and MIT cooperated to arrest Turkish terrorists in Athens

They started exchanging information after the attack by DHKP/C at the U.S. embassy in Ankara - FBI, CIA and Turkish officials present in the interrogation

Citing sources from the Turkish side, the Turkish Hürriyet publishes an article detailing the arrests of the four Kurdish terrorists in Gkyzi.

According to the newspaper, a huge operation between the NIS, CIA and MIT had to be organized for the arrest of the terrorists. The raid at the hideout apartment in Gkyzi started by a tip from an "anonymous informant" and was used by the three agencies, which exchanged information after the attack of the DHKP/C organisation at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara.

Of the four arrested, at least one is considered to be linked to the specific terrorist organization, while, as the paper says, the Greek authorities had arrested four other people in two separate operations in the Hellenic-Turkish border in 2013 as suspected of having ties with DHKP/C.

The article also says that in the context of cooperation between NIS, CIA and MIT a five-man Turkish team and officials from the FBI and CIA will attend the interrogation of four suspects in Athens.
