Kefalonia: 4.7 Richter "rocked" the island

A new earthquake of 4.7 Richter shook again the residents of Kefalonia at dawn Friday.

The earthquake occurred at 5:39 a.m., 19.2 kilometres northwest of Argostoli and its focal depth was estimated at 2 km.

However, according to seismologists, these aftershocks should not be of concern to the residents, as the phenomenon is progressing smoothly.

It should be reminded that the last strong earthquake that rocked the island occurred on Wednesday afternoon and was measured 4.5 Richter.
