If troika returns with a positive result in the assessment
In his statements to Austrian journalists after the completion of the ECOFIN today, Austrian Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Michael Spindelegger said that Greece would receive the next tranche of the loan within the next month. "At least there could be a decision within March for the disbursement of the tranche, if by then the troika returned with a positive assessment from Athens."
Spindelegger added that troika is expected in the coming days to return to Athens and if the primary surplus of 1.5 billion euros is confirmed, this will be a prerequisite for the next steps.
He also said that there are five areas where reforms are necessary in Greece, but also that there are very positive signs that some of them have been implemented.
