The severe economic crisis in Greece has a dramatic impact on the health of its people

According to it the number of cases of AIDS, tuberculosis, mental illness and dead embryos increased sharply since the beginning of the crisis. The spread of depression is also of particular concern. Already earlier research had shown that the number of suicides in Greece increased between 2007 and 2011 by 45%. The problem is probably only the tip of the iceberg, Kentikelenis, who teaches at the University of Cambridge, said.
