Stournaras: We are satisfied regarding the Eurogroup decisions

The Finance Minister and president of the Ecofin Yannis Stournaras expressed his satisfaction over Eurogroup's decisions on Greece.

"Today we will discuss the reform on banks' restructuring and the Banking Union, that is the Single Resolution Mechanism and the Intergovernmental Agreement.

Regarding Greece, I am very satisfied. Seven countries should now turn to their parliaments for the relevant significant decisions. Eurogroup has already given its approval so that all those parliamentary procedures can go ahead and the next tranches can be disbursed.

In general, I am satisfied. Our discussions on the economic situation and the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises were very interesting. I believe the Eurogroup meeting was very productive" the minister said.
