Prosecutor orders an investigation on Kasidiaris' video
In order to see whether Elias Kasidiaris has committed a felony based on the violation of privacy laws, the head of the Prosecutors of the First Instance Court of Athens, Panagiota Fakou, issued an investigation.
As part of the inquiry which prosecutor Kalliope Dayanda will be leading, now resigned general secretary of the government Takis Baltakos will be called as a witness, to testify all he knows about the circumstances under which Elias Kasidiaris recorded and then publicized their talk, obviously without the former's approval.
It is also noteworthy that Elias Kasidiaris cannot be detained or arrested, due to the fact that -according to information derived from lawyers- he used the video as proof during the prosecution against him, which makes the act a non-detainable offense.
Mrs. Fakou's investigation has been characterized as urgent and will have to be completed as soon as possible.
