Trivago: Athens is the most popular Greek destination for the Easter holidays

Moreover the Greek capital is the cheapest, at an average cost of 80 euros per night

Athens is the first choice of foreign tourists among Greek cities for the Easter holidays, according to the data tables published by trivago.gr (a search and price comparison engine).

The second place in the preference list of the foreign tourists who plan to visit Greece is occupied by Rhodes, an island that has a significantly lower average nightly rate for Easter (61 euros for a double room).

The lowest price, however, among the most popular destinations for Easter, is found in Chania, at an average cost of 58 euros per night.

It should also be noted that the Greek capital is the cheapest among European capitals, as the nightly cost is 80 euros for the days of Easter, followed by Berlin, Germany, at an average cost of approximately 94 euros per night.

On the other hand, the first choice of Greeks who have the means to spend Easter holidays abroad is Rome, at an average nightly cost of 168 euros, while their second and more expensive choice (at 177 euros) is Paris. The third place in their preference list is occupied by London, followed by Istanbul.

The main conclusions drawn based on the survey is that the Greeks have completely different tastes from the foreign tourists and that their preferences change from one year to the next.
