Geneva: Kerry-Lavrov meeting underway
Quadripartite meeting aims at defusing the Ukrainian crisis
The moment where the Ukrainian crisis is escalating, when Mariupol having become a war theater, the quadripartite conversation between US, Russia, Ukraine and EU is taking place, in an attempt to stabilize the situation.
The meeting is being conducted in a hotel with the participation of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Ukraine Adrian Ntestitsa, of Russia, Sergei Lavrov, of the U.S. John Kerry and the head of European diplomacy Catherine Ashton.
The conversation which takes place behind closed doors is aimed at defusing the crisis, although the climate is far from optimistic.
