What the head of the Albanian National Intelligence stated on the supposed influence of "Extremist groups and Greek political circles"
Are they "setting up" a provocative plan of Albania agaisnt Greece?
It is hard to say with certainty, but when it comes to Chimarra "asserting its independence" as a discussion in Albanian parliament, a la Crimea, under the influence of "extremist groups and Greek political circles", then nothing can be ruled out.
"If the new administrative division of Albania determines Chimarra as a different administrative region than Avlona, then there is the possibility that the inhabitants of this region, under the influence of extremist groups and Greek political circles, to seek independence, according to the Crimean model in the Urkaine", stated the head of Albanian Intelligence Visho Ajazi Lika, before the Committee on National Security, where for moer than four hours he was presenting the annual report of the actions of the office.
Sources from the committee that Albanian media reported on, mentioned that MP of the Democratic Party of Albania, Mesila Doda, asked that head of the Albanian National Intelligence if he knows that "if the new reformation defines Chimarra as a separate department, there is the possibility, -according to your information- that its residents follow the Crimean example".
The question provoked the reaction of members of the ruling Socialist party who asked for it to be rejected because it is outside the daily agenda.
Despite this intervention, the head of the Albanian National Intelligence Service said: "The information we have now tells us that there is a tendency for the Crimean precedent to be used".
