TRAINOSE to resume Thessaloniki's train linking to Skopje, Belgrade and Sofia

The company will operate a daily service for the Thessaloniki-Sofia route

TRAINOSE, the operating arm of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), will resume daily services linking northern Greece to Skopje, Belgrade and Sofia on May 10.
The company suspended services linking Thessaloniki to the Balkan capitals in February 2011. 

The services

The first service operated with Hellas Express train will depart approximately at 16:00 from Thessaloniki and will arrive to Skopje at 19.50 in the evening (local time). Next stop will be in Nis, at 01.09 (local time) and the last stop will be in Belgrade, at 05.33 (local time). From Belgrade, the train will depart at 18.45 (local time), arriving to Nis at 23.25 (local time), to Skopje at 04.44 (local time) and finally to Thessaloniki at 11.16.

Ticket prices

From 10 May to 10 June, passengers will be able to buy tickets with 30% discount. During this time, the single ticket for the route Thessaloniki - Skopje will cost 12.20 euros and the return ticket will cost 17.10 euros. The single ticket for the route Thessaloniki - Belgrade will cost 33.80 euros and the return ticket will cost 47.30 euros. After June 10, the price of the return ticket for the route Thessaloniki - Skopje will be 19.50 euros and for the route Thessaloniki – Belgrade, 54.10 euros.
