He stresses that his candidacy in the European elections is not “a diversion or intrigue”
In an interview with ANA-MPA on Friday, main opposition Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) state deputy Manolis Glezos, a candidate MEP in the forthcoming European elections, said that “The Greek people should trust us in our attempt to create a new Europe”.
“We say 'no' to a Europe of monopolies, of money, of the submission of the weak to the strong, but we say 'yes' to a Europe of equality before the law and the state, a Europe of the people and the citizens where united we decide on our fate,” the 92-year-old veteran leftist politician and leader of a campaign to claim WWII war reparations from Germany underlined.
Referring to his candidacy in the European elections, Glezos categorically rejected that it is “a diversion or intrigue,” noting that his goal is to be able to bring to the European Parliament the Greek people's demand for WWII reparations.
