Air France to cancel flights due to pilots' strike

The largest pilots union in France urges its member to strike for two hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon

Air France plans to cancel an unspecified number of flights as a result of a possible nationwide strike action which is scheduled from the 3rd to the 30th of May, of the SNPL pilots' union, as announced today by the airline.

"This strike is unusual due to its length, since it will last almost a month, and for its methods, due to which Air France flights will be hurt during two peak periods during each day", states the airline, a member of the Air France-KLM coalition.

The largest pilots union in France urges its member to strike for two hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon and most of the flights to be affected by the strike will be cancelled, adds Air France in its communiqué.
