Shipping strikes continue for another 48 hours

Strikes will continue for another 48 hours, until 6 am on November 26, as the Head of NPO decided after current developments in negotiations.

“The Head of NPO has decided to continue the strike after realising that apart from the Union of Ports, which signed the Memorandum consenting to the collective Agreement for Employment of 2010 and the employers’ Organisations (the Greek Ship-owners Union and the Union of Nautical Transport Business), there has been no other union of organization willing to come forward and sign the Memorandum of 2010, which ends in a month.”

Following this realization, the Head of NPO is forced to continue the strike until our demands are met. We ask for our customers to bear with us and we apologize for any inconvenience, but if anyone is to be considered blameless, it is the workers fighting for their employment rights”.
