Two workers injured

Two men were slightly injured this morning, during roadworks for the opening of the tunnel in the Agios Panteleimonas region at Tempe. Police said the accident occurred when rubble detached itself from the sidewalls of the tunnel, where two workers were putting up the metal mesh. Both were taken to a hospital in Katerini and left after first aid was administered.   
 
In the Platamonas region, during the last months, construction work is still going on for the new section of the Athens - Thessaloniki highway, which will circumvent Tempe.
