The Government, according to the reliable sources of protothema.gr, is preparing a “pogrom” against the big multinationals, with an immediate call for at least 10 of the largest companies in the market.

According to reliable sources, the refusal of major market forces to follow Mr Chrisochoidis’ recent call to lower their prices until Christmas and the indifference to the constant exhortations of the Secretary Mrs Rovlias for a climate change, in private meetings, are leading directly to the climax of the conflict with the involvement of the Competition Commission.

A well-known industry is expected to be a victim of the crisis between the Ministry of Development and the multinationals; an industry that has a long-running case with the Independent Authority and which, according to all indications, the Government will throw “into the fire... to set an example.”

However, Government aggressiveness does not seem to stop here, because under orders from Mr Chrisochoidis, the president of the C.C. is expected to start picking on 20 sectors of major importance for the everyday life of Greek citizens.
