Revelations that shake the Ministry of Defense

The District Attorney of Athens labeled as “extremely serious” all  four testimonies of the former General Manager of all Defense Mechanisms and Investments, Evangelos Vasilakos, in regards to supplies of armament systems from the Ministry of Defense.

An enquiry was ordered by Mr. I. Sakelakos and there will be an extensive investigation of the case by the District Attorney Mr. G. Peponis. The enquiry started after Mr. Vasilakos gave his farewell speech, in which he referred to“extensive corruption” and spoke of “unfit persons that have committed fraud” in supplier circles. He also mentioned he knows names!

Therefore, it was only natural for the former manager to become the first witness subpoenaed by the District Attorney. According to sources, he will be called in for a fifth deposition, since the information he provided has been extremely important and useful, which means this may lead to many more names being named in the case.
