Who connects Sect and Cores

2 to 4 people over 40 from the Exarheia "pool".

In an attempt to untie the Gordian knot of modern urban guerilla warfare, the Counterterrorism force is looking for the people connecting the 2 largest active organizations, the Revolutionary Sect and the Conspiracy of the Cores of Fire.  

As days pass, the opinion that last weekends’ strike by the police was at the heart of indigenous terrorism but not of the Sect, is gaining momentum. The weapons found at the hideouts were not used in the hits and as it seems, they are similar to, but not the same asthose seen in pictures sent by the Sect along with their manifesto. Two of the six arrestees were wanted for membership in the Cores of Fire.  

«The apprehended are the executive arm of an organization whose identity has not yet been certified. However, we suspect that Sect and Cores have common denominators» says a police official in protothema.gr.

According to valid information, the key points in the Greek Police investigation are 4:

* They estimate that the new generation, to which Sect and Cores members belong, were fished from the Exarheia pool. Authorities are talking about 2-4 people over 40, known at the Exarheia square as those who move the strings of urban guerilla warfare on the theoretical level.
* In both organizations, funding is the same. The money used for weapons, apartment rental etc., is controlled by 2-3 people who take care of collecting and allocating it, and it comes from bank expropriations that might have been done jointly by members of both organizations. For this reason, over 8 robberies in Greece are under close investigation.

* The last manifesto from the Cores of Fire, sent in November and assuming responsibility for the booby-trapped packages, is very similar to those sent by the Sect. Officers are estimating that after the Cores upgrade these manifestos could be written by 2-3 persons who also edit the Sect texts.
* The weapons, as it has finally been proven, do not belong to the armory of the Sect. Most of them are different from those in the photographs and the Police are looking for the suppliers, who are probably the same for both organizations. Specifically, officers refer to 2-3 offenders who, via Albania and Crete, have supplied both organisations with heavy weaponry.
