Sporadic rain and snow on the mountains, not expected to cause major problems, for Friday and the entire weekend
Friday and the weekend will see some sporadic rain and transient snow on the mountains, as well as a slight increase intemperature.
In more detail, local snow showers are expected on Friday for northern Greece, more for eastern Macedonia and Thrace but gradually the weather will improve from the west . Sporadic rain and mountain snow is expected for western Greece, while for the Ionian some temporary storms are expected. For the Aegean, local showers and sporadic rain are expected which by night time will have moved to the southeast. Local overcast skies are expected for the rest of the country, but with plenty of sunshine and a chance for a few temporary local showers, mainly in the south, and some light snow in the mountains. The Ionian winds will blow northwesterly from 4 to 5b and south locally to 6b, turning to southwest 4b to 5b and 6b during the night time and liable to further increase during the night. At the Kythera sea winds will blow northwesterly 5 to 6b, in the Aegean there will be west winds from 4 to 5b and 6b locally in the south and only in the Dodecanese blowing at 7b. The temperature will not rise above 6, but for the rest of the country it will reach 12 – 13 and in the north Aegean 14-15 degrees Celsius. During the late night and morning hours frost will form in the mainland and the northern continental.
